YCL cadres thrash grocers in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Aug 23 - CPN-Maoist youth wing Young Communist League (YCL) on Saturday thrashed grocers at the Kalimati Vegetable Market in Kathmandu.
Bringing up the dispute of porters of the Market, the YCL cadres accused the grocers of being members of the UML affiliated Youth Force and beat them brutally this morning. Over a dozen has been injured due to the beating.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the Kathmandu Hospital.
Three among the injured have sustained critical injuries, the Hospital said.
CPN-Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who has been elected the prime minister recently, had committed to disband the paramilitary structure of the YCL.
