The whole of Ganesh Himal  has Ruby(secon most valuable and Hardness) mining. Its been taken by some indian company since 70's or 80's.People in rasuwa district know indian helicopter fly to Ganesh himal for these Ruby and goes directly to India

Ther is another one ruby mine in Rasuwa( or Dhading border), but very few know it.Its run by a Nepalese company

There was a big news few years ago where an indian businessman sold a Nepali Quartz for 10 million dollars. H e bought the stone for few thousand ruppes and sold it in the international market after cutting and polishing

Quartz is available  all over nepal and exported all over the world, its value is anywhere between 200- 5000 Rs /kilo   in  Nepal .

Sankhawasava disctrict has large deposit of Aqamarine, 4th hardest ( after emrald) and also expensive stone.Also large scale of Turmaline ( ususlly found with aquamarine) has been found in Nepal

Garnet is also very common in Nepal .
