I agree with aarigato that you should go to university where u came from. If you did not then you will be out of status.  All blame goes to you and only you because you were not serious about this matter and you took it lightly that you can transfer to North Lake easily as you also had some friends. I don't understand how come you got very low GPA(2.0)  in the first semester in which most of the courses are general eds. Now you have to face the consequence. You should return to University and convince your parents to send you money telling them the truth. They will get mad but they are your parents so eventually they will send you some money. Convince them that you need money now and you will return them when you graduate. This is really critical situation and you have to face it because of your negligence. You also learned the lesson.

I also had the similiar problem where I was short of money but I had good GPA.  I convinced my parents to send me money and I went to community college for 2 years and finally now I am back in University and will be graduating within a year.

LIFE IS NOT EASY AS IT SOUNDS. SHIT HAPPENS AND YOU HAVE TO FACE IT.
