how to check credit score

Dear Raxi,

Initially when you signed up you never went through the terms and conditions which are specifically designed to trap consumers like you. Since you never read the terms and condition and blindly checked the icon which stated "I accept the terms and condition" you are yourself responsible for your action. Why are you rating them as speculative and unworthy?

If I am not wrong these websites like you mentioned www.freecreditreport.com offer you free credit score but what they do is make you sign up for a program which gives you free credit scores for a month and then they charge you whatever ammount or plan they put you up on. They require the costumer to call up and cancel their membership. Since you were less informed about that plan you checked your score once and you thought you got your score for free but when your credit card statement  next month or you check it online you will see that they have charged your card. This is the trick they play to generate revenue.

My advice is as a consumer be wise and take your time and decide. Why do you have to deal with a middle man (in your case www.freecreditreport.com) when you could get free credit report from the companies which i've mentioned? The problem here is lack of information, I assume. My message is to anyone who wants to check their score get a credit card or buy a house is "DO SOME RESEARCH! and DONT JUMP IN THE BANDWAGON!"
