At least Maoist are doing politics of principle. From the very beginning they advocated that the President and the Vice President has to be "Samabeshi". Had they supported Forum's corrupt elected vice president "Mr. Jha", they could have easily won the president's candidate they had supported. One should not forget that  Mr. Ram Raja Prasad Singh is not a Maoist's party member. They maintained their stance on the vice president has to be from "Pahadiya' to make it more inclusive.

They knew from the very beginning that the UML and the Congress will play this dirty "Bihari style" politics.  That's why they resisted to amend the provision of  constitution to change the government from 2/3rd to simple majority. That would have given lot more stability to the government until the new constitution is drafted.

Time and again they have proved they are  not doing politics of few months or a year. They have a  long term startegy and they want to govern Nepal for next few decades and they know very well that they have to make a strong base for that.

It will be a mistake to think Maoist are failing on their short term strategy. They are planning for the next general election after the constitution is drafted.
