I don't think that just being a madhesi should be the base of disqualification.
I don't mind that, but I can't stand them Talking in hindi and wearing dhoti kurtha.
if a true Nepali who has more respect for what his/her country represents rather than what his/her own local culture represents than I don't care about if he/she is madhesi or newar or bahun or rai whatever....

President is the president of Nepal not the President of a single community or janajati. If he can't represent that then he does not deserve to be the president.
