I have two different database. one is isoft databse, other is gateway databse.

So, What i am trying to do is create a report on infoview. For that I will need to create universe.

First Approach:

Create two seperate universe. One for gateway by itself with necessary tables and other for isoft by itself with necessary tables.So I create a gateway universe and do insert>universe. The universe is inserted but when i click on isoft table and "column values" it says table or view doesnt exist.

Second Approach:

I create two seperate universe and export it. I go to infoview and do "Add query" and import two sepearte universes and drag rq attributes into the Results objects window and go to edit report window so those attributes are available now to compare. I am getting values from both databases but dont know how to link those tables together. isoftfilename from gateway is suppose to match origfilename from isoft.

 I tried it on query filters to make isoftfilename from gateway equal to Object and select origfilename from isoft, but that attribute is not appearing as a choice.

I gues the two databses are not connecting.

I think best approach is just making a universe so that we have both tables from two databases so infoview doesnt get confused, but the first approach (insert>unievrse) is not working.
