NEW DELHI, July 12 - Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has claimed that Nepali workers Krishna Thapa and Rajkumar were involved in the killing of school girl Arushi Talwar in Noida.

Assistant Director of CBI Arun Kumar said both Nepali workers have admitted they committed the crime. "But we haven't yet reached a conclusion due to lack of physical evidence to support it," he said at a press conference on Friday.

The CBI claimed involvement of Nepali workers in the murder following scientific investigations and interrogation in the since 56 days of the incident.

Talwar, a grade IX student at Sector 25 of Noida and a 45-year Nepali worker Hemraj (Yagya Prasad Banjade) were killed last June 15 and 16.

Arushi's father (a dentist) Rajesh, compounder Krishna and Rajkumar, a domestic helper of Rajesh's friend Dr Anita were under CBI investigation on the charge of murder.

The court released Dr Rajesh immediately after the CBI press meet .

Arun Kumar said, "Both Raj Kumar and Krishna were drunk when they entered Arushi's room. They tried to rape her. But she protested and they killed her. They also took Hemraj, who protested the incident, to the top of the house and killed him."

CBI has claimed that Krishna took the step to take revenge on Dr Talwar, who had publicly scolded him two days before the incident.

He said the court has been demanding concrete evidence for the CBI's claim, like the weapons used to kill Arushi and Hemraj's mobile set.
