Hyde, the new Wall Street movie would be based in London though...London is slowly surpassing NYC as the Financail Capital of the World as they're getting more of the funds from the emergining markets (and also an agressive growth in the derivatives side) whereas NYC has remained as traditional as ever mainly targetting weath already in the US itself).  Also, times have changed since the 80s' days of a single manned tradtitional Private Equity Firm like Gecko had which only dealt in mergers and hostile bids..Today its all about large scale leverages and indepth modification of the Black Scholes to fit ever structured/exotic/vanilla option product out there and risks quantified to unimaginable standards...Oliver Stone would just go mad doing all the research for this!   He was lucky his dad was a stock-broker in Wall Street when he made the movie in 1986...Today, the REAL Wall Street has morphed into what the UK boys are doing in terms of innovation of financial derivative products and structured options.  Was a good choice for him to stay out even though I am a fan of his works.  The previous Wall Street is my fav movie of all time including The Doors.  Great movies!!
