“I see myself as a huge fiery comet, a shooting star. Everyone stops, points up and gasps "Oh look at that!" Then- whoosh and I'm gone...and they'll never see anything like it ever again... and they won't be able to forget me- ever.”

                                                Jim Morrison

Remembering the Legend on his Death Anniversary

Its been 37 years when the world lost a rock legend but he is still alive with his record breaking songs. Influential Rock Legend, American Poet, Extremely shy and Awfully violent JIM MORRISON. Who changed the Rock Culture of Late ‘60 and Early ‘70 and forever.

Back in Nepal I read a cover story in Kantiur, comparing Mahatma Gandhi and Jim Morrison. One is the symbol of Non-Violence and the other is the most violent rockstar. It stated that the number of people who visit Raj Ghat (Grave Site of Gandhi) is less than La Pere Lachaise (Grave Site of Morrison). I thought it was true when I visited Morrison’s grave site in summer of 2006, I saw people go crazy; girls reading poems, guys smoking weed, men and women crying.  I also took a risk to go inside the fence at his grave and took a picture, which was not allowed.

Even my eight months son starts shaking his butt when I sing “Road House Blues” to him.

Have your thought.
