1. I did mine in Nepal
3 months ago. The visa consular asked me two simple questions. He asked me what
I was doing after I graduated and before I got my H1. I told him that I was on
my practical training duh'... and the other question - I don't even remember, it was
something stupid. He didn't even look at my documentation very well, and then
asked me to pick up my passport tomorrow. To answer your question, IT IS VERY
SAFE.
2. After you pay the visa fee at the Nabil Bank (Rs 14xx), they will give you an
interview date. It takes a week from the day you deposit the money.
The process at the Department of Labor(Shram Bivag) in Nepal
takes a week. It was pretty complicated for me. A friend of mine knew it, so he
helped me out with it. Thanks god! Talk to someone from a 'manpower company' in
Nepal, they
will do it for you for Rs 1000-2000.
Good Luck!
