Try not to be scared to expirement and try to use each and every button that you have at your disposal and tweak it around. that way you will get a sense and a feeling about what everything does, this way you can incorporate your creative ideas using this skill called mixing.

Many people think mixing is simply beat-matching, it is not. Mixing is blending two tracks into one. sometimes a mix sounds better if the beat's are not matched, it all depends on practice and knowing your track, front to back. and back to front
