For the benefit of anyone who might be interested, here are some tips:

First, on the essays.

There are two essays, each expected to be about 300-500 words. Any longer, and you are 'afnai khuttama bancharo le hanne'-ing.

The most common mistake any Nepali student makes with essays, especially those TOEFL lads, is that they begin by explaining the question and its relevance, and they invariably write about Nepal. Rule 1: ANSWER THE QUESTION, not describe it.

Your essays should have minimum of 3 para. Intro, Body, Conclusion. Body can again be another 3 para, which is essential for GMAT or GRE essays. Your target should be - Intro 50-80 words, each para in body 150-180 words, and conclusion, under 50 words. If you can write more than this, then you will write along tangents and lose points.

Hope this has been helpful to anyone attempting to accomplish something useless on this chhuttikodin.
