Chhalimaya Shrestha, mother of late Ramhari Shrestha, today slapped
Tara Narayan Shrestha, the Maoist Constituent Assembly member from
Ramechhap, for asking the Shrestha family not to stage a hunger strike.
An eye-witness said CA member Tara Narayan had gone to the place where the Shrestha family was staging a hunger strike and asked them to call off the hunger strike, saying it would only add to the woes of the family.
“The moment the CA member asked them to call off the protest, Chhalimaya and Ramila — Ramhari’s wife — slapped him,†the eye-witness said, adding that the CA member returned red-faced.
