Thank you everyone for reading the story and thank you more for leaving your invaluable comments. Let me answer some of the queries here.
NS, after I left Rampur, I came back to Chitwan 10 years later but never got a chance to visit Rampur. I would have loved to visit the campus though. I heard the place isn’t like what it used to be during those days.
Sweet_smart_tingly, your comment on gender identity was smart! Are we still up for that coffee date? lol.
Danphe, I never had the opportunity to come across the Mantri Jyalincha. Kudos to Bhaute_Kaji for catching one.
Sahayog and girly, thanks for getting me into this. Girly, I wouldn’t have even thought of writing a story if it wasn’t that discussion.
nepalicyko, quoting "in terai during summer most of
people suffer from "ghamaura" we use nycil powder on them. i forget
the name in english for that "ghamaura" . i am tired to
google it.we used those dragonflies to bite our ghamaura and it was fun
the pain was different but it was fun."
I can surely relate to the “ghamaura,†the itching that followed
and nycil powder. I never tried the dragonfly bites on ghamaura though. lol.
Sam bro, I don’t think I ever fell in love with the girl…hehe….I
think the masculinity part might have to do in that I was raised into thinking
there are certain things boys do and certain pertaining to girls….during my
childhood boys played a lot of sports and girls would play these games such as ‘ghwai’
I don’t know if that game is still called that…….the one about stones, lines
and hopping. Also the concept that guys are supposed to be better than girls in
everything….lol….I am just highlighting the stereotypes I harbored during those
times.
downtown_guy, my
calves have got stronger now but they used to hurt a lot….my dad told me that’s
what happens to growing boys. Thanks for asking.
