I have been there twice too, in 2001 I went to California and in 2004 I went to massachusetts. I am planning to go again as soon as I get some time off from work and life..

yes it is very enlightening, few of my friends from my group got in to this during the 90's here in states and it really helped all of us elevate our game in life. It gives you better understanding and prespective of life. It makes you a better thinker and better person with a sound knowledge of dhamma and life. It's not what people think of you, it is all about what you think of other people.

S.N. Goenka is great, the way he tells you stories of life and how to deal with it, makes things clear like water. I know you are recommending it to all the people. You forgot to mention that you can't speak to a soul for 10 days and night, you can stare at other people, you will have to meditate full time. It is not easy it is hard. I recommened it to everyone who think they can stand without speaking a word, this is for you, you will only reap good things from this teaching. It is not religious teaching but a teaching about life.

As for you Sweta, too much sex with will give you Aids so stay away from scientology, I heard they like to have group sex, if you are into it than good for you. We ain't.

AND DON"T OPEN YOUR MOUTH IF YOU DON"T KNOW JACK ABOUT IT.
