Kukur, If you are in Minnesota, you've to send all the documents to Chicago. You'll get your visa stamped within 2 weeks and you'll be all set.
If you've all the supporting documents, since you are going to canada for a visit, you've to show the documents showing strong ties with US, ie. prove them that you go to college in US and you'll be back in certain time....If you do that there wont' be any problem.
