Just today , Indian Communist Party leader Mr. Sitaram Yenchury has flown into Kathmandu to congrtulate the Maoists on their election victory and perhps to console the losers, the NC and UML.

The Indian government led by Indian Congress is believed to have long outsourced its Nepal policy to its close government ally the Indian Communist Party . The ICP and its stalwarts like Mr Yenchury and its general secretary Mr Prakash Karat , of late, have been the two designers of Nepalese political landscape for the present and possibly the future.

Nepalese Communists have always been  vehement crtics of India's Nepal policy. Because of this the south Block and Indian foreign policy makers have long realized that it would be the best in India's interest to let the Indian left engaged in Nepal matter because the Left hold sway there. Now , it is expected that the this trans-national party relationship will yield fruit for India.

 

Let us see, how this left alligned Indian policy
