FYI, I was a Christian in Nepal for many years before I came to the USA on a student visa. And I fully realize that green card process has nothing to do with my religion. And even more importantly, I have not even applied for a green card.

As for my conversion, it was out of my own free will. Noone talked me into it. I was getting more and more disillusioned from Hinduism and its flaws, like caste system and all, and I was not an atheist or agnostic. I then found Jesus. But having converted into Christianity I have discovered that Christianity is not free of flaws either. I believe in Jesus Christ that is why I call myself a Christian. But I don't see eye to eye with many of the church's doctrines, especially those regarding the church's view on the followers of other religions. I, being a christian, however respect other religions. I believe, even though they use different names for God, in fact we are all praying to the same God. The church however strongly refutes that theory. My many Christian friends frown upon my taking part in hindu festivals like Dashain (which to me, is a secular/social festival not a religious one).

Please don't question my faith. My faith in Christ is what I believe in and it is not something I make use of.
