KATHMANDU, April 25 - The CPN-Maoist, which has emerged as the largest party after the April 10 Constituent Assembly (CA) elections has decided to use the Young Communist League (YCL), the party’s youth wing, for traffic management in the capital.

Speaking at a welcome programme organised by transport entrepreneurs at New Bus Park in the capital on Friday, Maoist leaders said that the YCL will be mobilised along with government resources to manage the traffic in the capital.

Minister for Planning and Reconstruction Hisila Yami and Maoist leader Hithman Shakya claimed that uncontrolled parking of vehicles was the main reason behind the traffic jams and said that youth power will be mobilised for traffic management.

They also claimed that the youth wing would help make the public more responsible.

Transport entrepreneurs pointed out the need for transport laws during the programme.
