Do you know the fact guys? Many many many people think these songs and videos belong to Maoists because these songs have some sort of Maoist’s flavour. This is 100% WRONG. These songs are composed and recorded by RAKTIM SASKRITIK PARIWAR. Jeevan Sharma (real name: Ramkrishna Acharya) was the key person of Raktim. Mr. Jeevan is an extremely talent signer. He just does not sing, he writes beautiful songs, composes the music and gives such a melodious and emotional taste. He is master in many kinds of instruments like Basuri, Guitar and Harmonium. If he had been in the music industry, he would have made more than a hit singer makes now. However he chose to sing people's song like this and lived a simple life if not miserable. Jeevan Sharma had some difficult cross-roads when he was to offer his 8th Album. However he continued to sing the songs. His songs became so popular among political parties in Nepal (mainly communists) that the listeners could not identify who these songs belong to. So, let's respect the devotion of Jeevan Sharma to Nepali music and people’s songs, especially the songs of oppressed class.

RAKTIM was originally associated with National Peoples Front (Nepal) led by Mohan Bikram Singh and Chitra Bahadur KC, Pyuthan, Arghakhachi and Baglung as their strongholds. Raktim published at least 12 consecutive parts of Albums. Raktim also featured the Stage-Drama called "THULI" which was hit sometime in 1997-98.

Just for your information, Maoists band was the SAMANA PARIWAR. I  am not sure if this exists anymore.
