So my dear friend, you cannot always guide yourself with your heart. There are several factors that shape an answer to your list of  questions: how far ahead can one lead his life on his own and his dear sweetheart's company,  how supportive is the family,  and social norms and values of the place one lives in. And importantly, one would have to think about the children too.......
Call me too selfish or cynical,  but I would surely think twice before taking any extreme decision (Normal condition ma ta yesto chintaa linai pardaina ni, ki kaso mitra?)
