If erstwhile King Gyanendra leaves country on his own, it's optional to everyone to live wherever he wants. But the message to the international community will go like "Maoist forced king to leave country". Secondly, Gyanendra will receive significant sympathy during his asylum period and will come back to the country like Benejir Bhutto.

There should be no tough action to Gyanendra by the new government if he wants to live in Nepal like an ordinary citizen. His exile is the beginning of another trouble in Nepal.
Gyanendra is likely to opt for asylum to gain the sympathetic support from the Nepali people. It could be his strategy.

For the following reason, he should not be allowed to leave the country:
1. His exile is a bad signal for present government and trouble will begin.
2. He owns lots of property in the capacity of King (also his family and relatives). This property should be used for the country's bitterness, not outside the country.
3. If he leaves the country, his supports in Nepal may start arm struggle just to unstabilize the country and show the need of king. However, dead "King Position" will never return.
4. A worst message to the world will be maoists' gov forced king out of country and that message is bad for the whole communism. This is just not the case, the country will face years of struggles for the co-existence of communist gov, and socialist gov.
