| Dhangadhi, April 15 Maoist affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) cadres attacked a victory rally of CPN-UML in Bajhang district on Tuesday. Some 60 YCL cadres attacked the UML rally that was being taken out in Ritthapata VDC adjoining the district headquarters Chainpur, the Bajhang District Police Office said, adding, a UML cadre Bikash Adi who was critically hurt has been undergoing treatment at Bajhang District Hospital. YCL cadres attacked UML rally saying that UML did not support the Maoists in the district. The armed police force fired five rounds in the air to disperse the attackers, the district police office said. UML’s candidate Bhanubhakta Joshi won in constituency no 1 while Maoist candidate Shankar Bahadur Khadka won in constituency no 2 in Bajhang district. |
