Very Good article.
There is a massive need of reforms in various sectors mainly on economic. Prachanda must concentrate on these aspects:
o what about privatisation? and free markets? in the name of socialism, Mao will not introduce any crap.
o land Distribution and reformation, especially in western Terai where there are Tharus-poor and pauper, who earlier were kamaiyas, bonded labours.
o Tax Administration- proportional Tax system should be the best. Higher U earn, higher U pay. and what about corporate Tax? how they are going to devise it?
o The most intriguing question is regarding reservation/aafirmative action-reservation based on what? women, dalits, marginalised, earlier excluded groups.
But problem is how u classify them? Just because U were born in Terai in Madheshi Community will enetitle u reservation? There is a huge debate on this point.
o what about foreign investment in Nepal? Recently some contacts on Hydropower has been entered with some Indian Companies. Does mao continue this? or is this capitalist mode and they abondon.
Guys, We can not do away the fact that mao have won now and they control most of the policy-economic, social and political, there is no point of bitching them all the time here in Sajha.
We need to really start talking some concrete issues. Later we can invite some Mao representative-someone like Baburam Bhattrai to discuss on the thread and answer our queries and doubts.
