Some of the reasons I saw for UML Defeat:
1. Party Division in previous election.
2. Non Decisive party management.
3. Lack of ethnic variation at party management.
4. No any legendary leader like Girija and Deuba of NC, Prachanda and Baburam of Maoists. They dont even have any leader comparable to Surya Bahadur Thapa or even those of Terai parties. I dont consider Madhav Nepal as legendary politician.
5. Another few Communist Parties as alternitave, mainly Maoist. Communists vote is divided. The serious casauilty being UML.
