YCL and MJF spoiling polls environment, charges Sujata
Minister without portfolio Sujata Koirala has accused the Maoist-affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) for spoiling the election environment.
Talking to journalists in Biratnagar, Thursday, daughter of the prime minister Girija Prasad Koirala, said the police could not act as it had not been given the right.
“The police do not have the right. They are just silent spectators. How can they work?” she said.
She also criticised the Election Commission (EC) for failing to take action against those violating the code of conduct.
Sujata had faced numerous obstructions by MJF cadres during her election campaigning in Sunsari district in recent days. nepalnews.com sd Mar 21 08
