I didn't know him "personally" so can't say for sure how he was as a person and I have got my own reservation about the way he led his nation as a king.

And regarding the song, "jahan jahan janchhau timi, ma paaila bani pachhai rahanchu", do I hear the sound of a submissive wife who has resigned everything, including her own skill to judge about the kind of path she will be taken to by her "beloved", to her better half ("pati parameshwor") being the non-resilient, docile and hopelessly-dependent wife ? or is it just me?

If it's coming from the wife out of a sheer love for her husband, hats off to the wife but I sniff stupidity on her part. Last thing smart men want is a dumb submissive wife who, for the lack of her judgment or other stupid reasons, follows her husband like a shadow. That's bull.

That said, I am feeling awfully nostalgic having listened to this song after ages and seen the clips I had seen as a kid. Childhood revisited although being a child, I didn't know what was going around then. :P
