Hmm..very interesting for two reasons:

1) I am quite amazed that they hadn't installed any lightening rods (finials) or surge protectors to protect the reinforced concrete made statue from lightening during its construction or later. At least I wouldn't know if they had, from what I know of Redeemer.

2) The monument is STILL in one piece surviving the tumultuous surge! Jesus Freakin Christ!
