Common myth ?

The fact is, diabetes is not caused by sugar. Sugar (elevated blood sugar) is caused by diabetes, which in turn is caused by defective insulin production or resistance, which in in turn is caused by genetic factors or physical factors like obesity.

So you have to go through lack of physical exercise and obesity for sugar and fat to cause diabetes. Just consuming sugar does not cause diabetes like the author is suggesing.
