Pre-intern news regarding china MBBS

Its no wonder these kinds of weird and unpredicted things have been happening in Nepal's medical studies history. Students rush to different countries for cheap and quick medical education while the government abruptly takes some decision which obliterates the students' dreams. In late 90s, the students who completed MBBS from Russia without doing highschool (intermediate) were barred from taking license from NMC(Nepal Medical Council). That was a fault in the part of the students as they sought the quick way out, and there was a dispute ongoing for months, which was finally settled by deciding to send the doctors to work in a remote place for two years or very remote place for a year.

Now this China issue is coming up. I don't know how good or bad it is not to let China educated doctors to do pre-internship in Nepal, but it surely has created obstacles for those who have already finished their courses, because there was no pre warning or something like that.  I somehow agree with Shakya above, the students who have already finished their degrees should be allowed to do pre-internship, those who go to China after the decision was taken should be barred after they finish in the future.

Its an irony that Nepal is still short of medical manpower, there are no doctors and medicines in remote parts inspite of growing number of medical schools within Nepal and burgeoning number of aspiring students who go out of the country for medical education every year. All the medical manpower are either concentrated in the urban areas or they choose to work abroad after getting their degrees. Even the vast majority of my highschool friends who did their MBBS in Nepal, Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan and other South Asian nations are either already in the US or in the process of coming here. I still can't comprehend what's the reason behind that.
