When it comes to hydro power we are between the devil and the deep-blue see. I agree with the point above about trade diversification - a very sensible strategy no doubt -but I am curious to know who the other bidders were, if any, besides the two finalists.

As for the share of power and proceeds, I don't have enough information to judge how fair this is, but private-public sector cooperation in the power sector is in our  future and the future has arrived (it actually did with Bhote Koshi and others I guess)
