I have seen many e-commerce websites having logos of other e-commerce companies on their homepage. For example, just on Sajha, there are many banners and logos of other sites. Can anyone explain why this is done, and what are the advantages of it?

I have an ecommerce website with no logos of other sites. But on my competitor's sites, there are tons.
