One of my friends is introducing an economical electric bicycle (powered by a rechargeable battery) in Nepali market soon. He is assembling it in a local factory in Banepa.

I really do not remember the exact price. But it was pretty cheap.

He said many people liked the prototype and particularly the environment conscious groups were very excited about it.

He also has a plan to introduce in a few years time a tractor that would cost just 1 lakh Nepali rupees. I wonder if that will be too late now.

The model of the electric bicycle is probably similar to this Chinese model.
