I know a person here who bought Tejraj scopes from India, but
these are of poor quality reflecting newtonians. And I believe we deserve
better quality scopes. As astrophotography is almost non existent in Nepal, we also
want to start this aspect, so that good images are posted and printed in the media
for public awareness and advocacy.
And the choice of scopes depends on your objectives. If you
are buying for your individual use, then reflecting Newtonians are OK> But
for Mass observation during star parties, you need something that is easy to
use. My experience is that, when you organize star parties, the crowd wants to
see many things in the same evening – the moon, available planets and some deep
sky objects as well.
And 6-inch dobsonian scopes are not so expensive, and I
believe will cost the same as the Indian scopes of the same size. Keeping on
all this aspects, so why then jaat falne Gahat ko jhol-ma??
