Friday night well actually early Saturday morning. Simmering rain. Highway. Headlights from other cars forming star shaped blazing lights passing by intermittently as the wiper screaches on my windshield. A mental note to myself - need to get the wipers changed during next oil change. Had a long day at work then party at Abhi's place in Queens. It was one of those few times I wished I didn't live in New Jersey. Although it was away from the hustle bustle of the boroughs, you had to be in the boroughs for a fun night out - which normally ends up at one of the Nepalese guys apartments in Queens. Driving back after a friday party is pretty tiresome specially when you've had a few mixtures and knowingly or unknowingly inhaled some misty vapor and or smoke floating around the room. I was thinking of the momo party to be held at my place on Saturday evening. I had most of the people I know. It was going to be a blast. I was thinking of calling my folks back home on Sunday since I hadn't called them for almost two months. How time flies here I wondered. I don't really want to get into the thinking mode since I end up evaluating my need to be the US versus back home with my family.Anyways I'm looking forward to the party tomorrow. I even got an eight plus a dimebag worth of shiva prashad so we can all chill out. I had picked it up from Dinesh at the party. He had said it was the best quality weed I could ever find. I did have a whiff of it at Abhi's and I have to say it was pretty good quality. One puff was enuff to keep me in a zone. The music in my car sounded very good tonight. The Doors' lyrics "Riders on the Storm" was a fitting lyrics for this rainy ride to my home in New Jersey. It was pretty surreal. The incoming headlights were blinding at times when I had to let go of few curses.

Blue Lights
As I was merging out of the New Jersey Turnpike, I noticed some blue lights around the exit. I passed them. I thought I passed them but the blue lights kept lighting up the inside of my car even few minutes after I was out of the exit. Suddenly the blare of the Police Siren caught me off guard and awoke me from the trance like state of Doors' music "This is the End my only friend. The end". This was a beginning of a bad trip, I could sense it. My black Mercedes CLK 320 slowed down inadvertently. Think, I told myself. I pinched myself to appear alert and opened my eyes wide. The flashing blue lights contnued it's omnious rounds as I awaited in my car and rolled down my windows and stared into the side - rear view mirror to see an officer dressed up in a terminator II like uniform walk towards me.
