dude.. no shame to anyone.. its not anyone elses fault that they didn't respond to your thread..
anyways..
here is a solution that worked for me....

1. Right Click on ur My Computer > to go Manage
2. Go to "disk management".. ( i think u were already here....)
3. then from the list.. i assume that ur external drive will be there...
4. right click on it, "Change Drive letter and Path",
5. select some drive name .. like "T" or "I" click OK (it will prompt u that u may loose data etc, u can ignore that)

now go to my computer .. and the drive should be listed there
