Tamang are descendent of Tibetans. I am disappointed that you did not mention TIBETAN as a originating point. Ta in Tibetan means Horse and Mang is believed to have derived from Maak (which means fighter). Tamang were originally Horse Warriors. There is nothing wrong in mentioning Tibetan or are you trying to play safe  game and be politically correct just like lot of stupid people.
