Information Engineering vs. Software Engineering

Hey guys and gals!  I am a little lost here and I was wondering if you all could throw your opinions here.  I am down to Information Engineering and Software Engineering as my choices for my Master's plan.  Even though these two are not 100% related, I was wondering which one to go for.  What are your opinions?  As far as my abilities are concerned, I am very good with programming as well as information management (DBMS, requirements, etc.)  Please let me know what you all think.
