How is New Zealand ?

I spent two years in Christchurch on the South Island in New Zealand and based on my experience, if I hadn't received my Green Card here, I would have moved to this beautiful nation where life is serene and simple.  There is a very closely knit Nepalese community of about a hundred and fifty strong although I think the number is much more now as I left in 2002.  With a population of about four million, the country has eighty cattle and one hundred and forty sheep for each person, therefore, you wouldn't have to worry about fresh meat, butter and milk.  Racism is almost non-existent except for a few run-ins between the Kiwis and Iwis.  The people there are extremely polite and almost everyone has a car.  The city is full of parks and has an abundance of greenery and streams with fishes.  Sports is mainly rugby and cricket although soccer is now on the rise.  Even though taxes are high, you get all the benefits that society deserves, hence, no complaints.  The educational system is of a very high standard all the way from pre-school to university level.  For US$100,000.00, you can buy a very nice detached, three bedroom, two garage house in a nice neighborhood close to the international airport near Memorial Avenue.  To sum it up, if you want to raise a family in a peaceful and clean environment, New Zealand is the place you should head for.
