The world should know that India has sponsored Nepal Terrorism.

President Jimmy Carter appears to have fallen in “love” with this beleaguered but yet beautiful country. Or else why he should have planned his third trip to Nepal?

He is scheduled to arrive in Nepal on November 21 Wednesday.

Available reports say that President Carter would “encourage” the Nepali leaders to gear up for the constituent Assembly polls.

However, neither the Carter Center-Nepal Chapter nor Carter himself know that when India-the real mentor of Nepali leaders-has failed in convincing our leaders then how come an occasional visitor from the United States can accomplish the Himalayan task? Hmmm....

President Carter should better understand that Nepali leaders’ unite as and when they “see” personal or “Party” benefits accruing from such a unity or else they prefer more often than not to keep at a distance with each other.

Carter is visiting Nepal just after two days will have passed of the convening of the regular session of the Nepalese Parliament.

This is meaningful indeed but does not offer any hope that Carter would provide a magic formulae so that the parties would unite. Oh! Yes Prachanda will be more than happy upon meeting this modest and towering US persona. But can Carter influence the US administration? Forget!

Analysts would wish to advise President Carter to convince the Indian establishment which in effect is the real trouble maker. Carter must be reminded that it was the Indian "adhesive" that brought the ever quarrelling parties together in 2005 November for overthrowing the monarch who remained instrumental in bringing China-the arch rival of India-into the mainstream South Asian Regional Cooperation-the SAARC.

This was sufficient ruse for India to pounce upon the Nepali King and that’s it. But then India, high placed sources say, still is in regular contacts with the now sidelined Nepali monarch.
No wonder then the UML leader Shanker Pokhrel sees India as an "Octopus". Here lay the meaning.

Some even say that the current political deadlock in Nepali politics is through the Indian kind courtesy which talks different to different political parties in Nepal-including the Monarchy.

Albeit, India would definitely look after her own genuine interests instead thinking of extending support for the permanence of peace in this country.

Carter thus will come and go. Indeed, he would be hitting media headlines with no tangible results.

What India wants would finally prevail; some one must tell President Carter politely.

Nevertheless, the telegraphnepal.com welcomes this suave US dignitary.
