Q. The radius of all four circles is 2 inches. Find the area of the region in between four circles.
here is the answer

i have the answer but i could not email you with the picture.
if i ahve your real email address i can send you picture and explanation. but i will try to explainh here better.
The area of one square is = pi R square = 3.14 * 2 * 2
Now if you Put four circle together it will look like this...see the  attach file
( -)(- )
( -)(-)

now draw a radius from one circleto touch the other square.
it will form a square.
so the area of square with length (2+2) = 16.
now if you draw it you will see that inside the square there are four 1/4 parts of circle.
so these four one fourth part make the wholecirclewhihc is area of a circle
so area in between the circle = area of square - area of circle
                                               = 16 - (3.14 * 4)
                                               = 3.44 square inches.

if you need picture. send me your other email address.
