Thanks for the generous words. I truly appreciate it. As for the ending, it certainly was not climactic I admit. At one point I was tempted to do something like strap him onto the back of a rocket and  hurl him into space from the Baikonur Cosmodrome but I caved in  to that part of me that loves mundane, anti-climatic  endings. In doing so I did not mean any disrespect or contempt towards potential readers.  I guess it is my failure that the gist of the ending, which was life goes on,  did not reach across as clearly as I had hoped. Or if it did, it might not have been to everyone's expectations and liking. Something for me to think about for next time, if there is to be one anytime soon :)
