Yo Homie,

Nothing much. Just chillin'. (OK, that's the extent of my Ebonics)

Anyways, Shanghai is an awesome place. Truly amazing city. Its where San Francisco and New York come together. There's so much art, music and money in this city that once you experience Shanghai, you don't like going anyplace else.  "Pearl of the Orient," "Paris of the East" --its hard to not to fall in love with this city. I actually changed my major after a brief sojourn in Shanghai in 1998... and I am glad that I did it.

Here's a must do list when you are in Shanghai.

10. Eat the Shanghai food. (Shanghainese cusine is sweet)

9.  Visit the Jazz band at the Peace Hotel.

8. Go for a picther or two of beer at the New York Jazz Bar.

7. Take the fastest train in the world.

6. Get lost. Getting lost in Shanghai is so much fun.

5. Shop till you drop at the New World Super Market that is, if you have money. Even if you are in no shopping mood, its worth visiting this mega store and see Chinese consumerism in action.

4. Visit the RNAC office and listen to the Manager complaining about everything.

3. Visit the old Shanghai.

2. Walk along the HuaiHuai Lu and Nanjing Lu.

and my favorite---

1. Wlak at midnight from Nanjing Lu to Wai Tan (The Bund).. Experience the Shanghai quieteness. Its priceless. Along the way, get some Yang Rou Chuanr and Shanghai's own Reeb beer from the crack in the wall stores or street vendors.
