Terai basi, fuggin azzhole...Peeps in Darjeeling and Sikkim have been donning a Dhaka topi ever since time immemorial (even before you great-great-gramps learned his first alphabet). Hell, I've seen Bhutanese Nepalis wearing a Dhaka topi too!! This isn't because they are "pretending" to be Nepalese but this is them BEING PROUD OF THEIR HERITAGE!! Hell, you're in the US, don't you see the various parades here: Puerto Rican Day Parade, Italian parade, St.Patrick's parade (even the Indians have one)?? Why have them? Coz these cats are being proud of where they originated from, their tradtitions and their heritage. Prashant is doing the same above. Listen fugger, when Prasahnt won the II3 and he donned the dhaka topi, that has gotta be the best moment of Nepalese victory over Indian Imperialism at its finest (in public television broadcasted all over the world). I never watched a single episode of II3 but I saw the pic of his victory WITH A DHAKA TOPI on some Indian paper and felt real proud. You may think he's not Nepali, but for the peeps in India and the ones who supported him, he is!!
