Finally, I could not refrain from writting here.

I remember, one morning, in this thread, there was just Punte Dai, the originator of the thread; and couple of hits. I just read his two short lines and returned back with a bit of sentiment; I could have written something. Now I feel, I should have written something; I would be the first one to respond on such a successful thread. I say successful, because I have started couple of those, which have hardly gotten 50 hits before they disappeared from the homepage listing. Only a giften heart and brain combination can come up with something widely accepted stuff like this. Not to mention there are a lot other, but this one is not any less.

Now to the point, being a Pahade of Koshi hills (You can guess Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha..), it may sound unusual to say that I have visited Biratnagar only once in my life so far. More unusual, that visit was very short, one night stay at the quarter of District Vetenary Hospital. I even do not remember much, feels like that place was in the southern part of the city. I barely remember how far the Jogbani was, but I had crossed the boarder, first time in the life, and also a first and last touch of the Idian teritory so far, I must be a poor guy.

Now as far as the things that reminds me the beutiful city of Biratnagar goes, there were some of the special girls studying in the BNS, back then. I had written Biratnagar based addresses several times in the envalope of "HAWAI PATRA" and post cards. Well, that was KUKHURE BAISA.

The best memory I have is of the moment when I took off from the Biratnagar Airport for my lovely village just 15-20 minutes up the hills. As soon as the plane started rising, the beautiful tiny homes of the northern sub-urbs of the Biratnagar appeared so gergious and miles and miles of paddy rice fields appeared green and orange, divided into the plots and plots and plots, never ending upto horizon. And soon, the endless Koshi River apeared spread so wide and all the way from sourthern plains of Morang and Sunsari to the "TRIBENI" up in the junction of Bhojpur, Sunsari and Dhankuta where Dudhkoshi, Arun and Tamor meet to make the biggest river of the country. In just another 7 minutes or so, I was above the hills and seeing all the way upto my beautiful village in a south facing slope of a steep hill. The place I alway miss being far away since several years. This is my 7th Dashain since I visited my village the last and I can still just dream, not plan, to fly again from a lovely Biratnagar Airport in a twin-orter of then Royal Nepal Airlines corporation.

I love you Biratnager.
