This thread is still rocking. Great. I know we got quite a bit of folks from our greater Biratnagar area but somehow considerable bunch of Biratnagares are shying away from this thread. They probably read but don't speak.
M. Morang Days:
I remember Pathak sir teaching Major English with passion but not sure how much passion he really had for English literature though.
Wasti sir was good in Nepali. So I felt then.
There was this English teacher, Mr. Dubey, from Bihar. Mr Dubey was terrible. His English was poor but still was gathering students for tuition. I wondered what would he teach in those private lessons.
I remember those days hanging around Ganesh Bajar, Traffic Chowk, Kali Mandir --- etc.
I also remember those antique buses running between Mahendra Chowk to Jogbani.
Mouth still waters remembering Nareko Sekuwa -- I really miss those early winter mornings --- cool, and refreshing. Sometimes, watching the sun set while heading west on Sarochiya Road toward Ramganj Sitaganj would give a calm feel.
Even at 6:30 in those summer mornings, I could feel sweat trickling down.
