I was actually thinking about not posting any further on this thread as per the fact that neither have I any factual data to prove my views nor the unconscious racism can be shown on graph. So here we (ya both) are dealing with truthiness ( Stephen Colbert’s word for the truth from the guts, ‘smthing’ that feels right). But since you label me as a conspiracy theorist, so let me scrutinize ur writing just for the sake of scrutinizing.

over hyped patriotism for wrong reasons? explain me please, what's WRONG in supporting whom one wants to?
Nobody disagrees with you for your choice. But it has become much more than the “likeness” or the “support”. This has been a kind of hysteria as if he is fighting alone in all out war for Nepal.

nobody is forcing their issue to anyone here.
Well, you may not be using imperative or assertive languages, but certainly others are doing it. But the gist of what ever u have wrote till now has some degree of “coercion” in it.

no one is throwing stones at cops/mobs like they did in the upheaval of hrithik roshan issue. how's voting for prashant wrong? please throw some light. i vote for X, you vote for Z. you have your own reasons and i have mine. you are right and i am wrong? c'mon now! you can do better than that. but we still can sail along together, can't we my friend? :D
I am not saying to you that do not vote this guy. That’s ur personal choice. But, if you vote him because u have some “sense of commonality”, then I have to disapprove with the reason.

and when did i say prashant is a national symbol of peace/unity? Then you tell me what is mean by “ because of him, we all global Nepalese have come together for a cause”. You explain me Hunk.

i just said his case is a little different than of a normal contestant of indian idol because he hails form a land of minor community and since he is a nepali, he was able to draw attention of nepalese across the globe for various reasons, one of them may be the 'anti india sentiment' as you pointed out (i don't deny). i never said he was a national symbol yada yada...but his cause (music) helped nepali around the globe to come together and act accordingly for one cause--vote/support for a fellow nepali who's had a rather overshadowed or if i may say the word--suppressed-- life as a minor in a big country like india. nepalese who identify themselves with his story wants to contribute to his success/achievements. what's wrong in that? i, personally give credit to his talent and popularity for his success thus far. others may have personal ageda--venom against india and so on (again i don't deny but i will rationalize their plight too in a while). but at the end of the day, it's a nepali who's making it big in an indian platform. if you don't see it, okay. if you don't want to appreciate it, fine. as always, i respect everyone's decisions and we still can sail along together, can't we my friend? :D
If you were to support a nepali flag bearing team , then I would have agreed with your point but in this scenario I won’t. There are two reasons for that:
1. First of all, any kind of racism, whether it is an inter-race or intra-race shouldn’t be tolerated. When you saying that “sense of commonality” then, what are you showing to the minorities in your very country is that, ‘we would support anybody who has such “commonality” even though his talent is well questioned. In other words, he is mine, others are not. How it feels to live in your country and still feel abominated? Isn’t this the same scenario of Darjeeling Nepalese and Indian muslim who has been, after years of living in India, facing the hatred for them being from different origin or having different culture? Its the same "sense of commonality", my friend. You are all eager to blame Indians for not voting Prashant becoz he is Nepalese, but won’t accept the fact that you are doing the same.
2. In this competition, you are just not the supporter, but also the judge. Judging by the “sense of commonality” is biased in any standard of judgment.

Ktm alone has 2 millions nepali. PKR and other major cities together have more than a million for sure ....then hk/singapore/uk/us nepalese, add them all...i read the other day from a site that II has been able to draw more viewers than any other shows in nepal due to various reasons--one and major being prashant. okay may be millions is a bit too stretched a number in this case..but i can tell you it's pretty close.

I don’t have any statistic, as I mentioned earlier. So, let’s say your Guess is right.

so what is this 'MY highest hierarchy' thing? isn't nepal your first form of recognition too or you too a second citizen of nepal ?
I certainly know it’s mine but I absolutely doubt of Prashant (whom “YOU” are vehemently and vocally supporting). You can give me any excerpt from anywhere, where “YOUR” Prashant put Nepal on his highest hierarchy. You may even ask why he should have. Well ….

and let me make this clear to you and to those who think likewise. i never said a nepali must vote for prashant as a tribute to their nationality neither i tried to imply that one who does not do so is a traitor. reasons for my personal preference for prashant over other contestants apart, i also see why so many people are backing this guy up. let me explain it to you. if you already know this, fine. it may be interesting to few others:
We all know man, the impacts of the words and writings can be utter different than the meaning. So, you better read ur own writing and come back .Then start writing these same lines. I don’t think you will feel right.

i don't think anyone, who is voting for prashant purely because he is a nepali guy, is being a racist. i see this as a repercussion to racism. the plight of nepali in northeast india is similar to that of dalits/women/janajati and other suppressed communities which has been tagged by the so-called upper-cast people from rural/unaware society as low cast/gender. this again raises the question of equal opportunity. if prashant and numerous other nepalese residing in india as second class citizens had had their share of basic requirements and access to all other facilities that the so-called higher class people or people-with-power had or for that matter some other contestants of the show had, i am sure we wouldn't have been seeing this guy being voted blindly by the nepali community in india. for many indians, nepali are still no better than 'gorkhay and bhadurs'. on a similar note, if a madhesi comes as a participant for nepali idol, hell, those madhesis will blindly go gaga over him as well. :D

Well, if its really any fight back, then why not starting from our own country. I haven’t seen even couple of threads in this sajha for these issues. I really feel bad about the Nepalese who talk about racism, when they do it themselves, whether inter-cultural or intra cultural. If you wanna discuss on this issue, then I surely can.

BTw, did you just say,"hell those madhesi" . I don't wanna dwell on that other wise I would be label as super conspiracy theorist.

LOL! i didn't say that or did i? man, you should have been a conspiracy theorist. you have a pretty good scope there as i see. :P. i was only answering to ratobhaley's query of why prashant speaks in nepali.

I clearly understood what you said. You meant, he is form Nepali origin, that’s why he is speaking nepali. So, it’s not surprising. That’s what you said right?? If I am wrong you can sue me.
And what I meant to say: Just because he speaks Nepali, doesn’t mean he loves Nepal. As ratobhale said, it may just be a plot to garner some hysteric votes.
