. for me Prasanta Tamang happening looks like another Qazi Tauqeer (the Kashmiri) experiment. Qazi was pulled up as many as 11 times from the danger zone in similar musical program hosted by sony television, india. I don’t think that happened just like that. RAW, the Indian intelligence agency & the one and only vampire in south asia which trained many killers in the region including LTTE and pkd gang, wanted to divert the mindset of kashmiri kiddos....perhaps....but, given the India in south asia I know, im sure on my supposition. RAW’s motive could have been to redirect Kashmir youngsters into Indian mainstream.

This time RAW would like to gain some mileage out of II to ease out its special agenda-the objective to fuse the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal within india. It intends to do so by giving the messages to the young Nepali faction, home and abroad, “look how great India is...one nepali can reach to this stage..an Indian idol’’.

But how??? Well ...considering the fact that Bengali population is at least five times bigger than Nepali and the sensation the common Indians hold for a Gorkha (Nepali), nobody believes that Pransanta would have pulled more votes than Emon. Its simple. Nepali cant outnumber Emon’s Bengali/indian vote size. So if RAW could manipulate the earlier rounds it can do again...surely it will do that. However, its not that easy this time. RAW has catch22 situation; the reason is Amit Paul, the local kiddo from Northeast India- the region which remains unconsolidated in the political map of modern day india. was there any country such as india before 47 btw??????

I have been following news from northeast india based portals (http://inwww.rediff.com/newshound/mg.html, http://www.theshillongtimes.com/), target=_blank>http://www.nenanews.com/, http://www.theshillongtimes.com/), and most of them have one thing or two on Amit Paul. Similar to the one in Darjeeling, people went crazy in Shilong, Amit’s hometown, when he went there after reaching the II final. The local government was/is also found to be supportive for him. Besides, it seems, he is getting support from all parts of that India, where many indigenous groups have been fighting for independence since 47. The whole scenes appeared/appear unusual, unprecedented, and the one RAW would dare pass in vain. It simply cant ignore this gesture from tribal, who fought for independence since 47 and who are at this moment tired of the war for sure. Therefore, RAW will like to use this moment to strengthen India’s position in the region, which is completely different to the India we know.

I would love to see how II would be fixed this time. Its my personal supposition though.
