True. The best story I heard was of this guy who got lost driving the back roads of Jat country and ended up in the square of a village. He gets out of the car and asks a villager for directions. Instead of giving him directions, the villager summons everyone in the village and they all surround him and ask him something like "Tuje rasta pata karna hai?".

Apparently the first villager didn't know the directions and summoned all his friends so that they could give the lost driver the correct directions. The in loud voices and amidst much debate the discussion, they give the driver directions, a glass of lassi and send him off.

And that's just Jat country I guess :)
